INSTALOVE

Sometimes we all just need some fresh air. Something dawned on me the other day when I was starting to feel myself unravel ... this is my life now and the sooner I can stop trying to fight the crazy the sooner I can start enjoying it. It seems like a simple revelation but it really felt like a weight was lifted. I’m zen again guys.
Messy and beautiful, my boy.
I loaded the kids in the car and picked Gigi up on the way. She let Eloise fill her sweatshirt pockets with seashells and carried a 20lb sea log to the car like a boss so I could add it to my garden (without me noticing she was doing it!) ... on the way there we played a game called, “I love Gigi more than.... “ and Eloise said, “chocolate!” And that’s saying a lot.
“You are allowed to be messy and beautiful at the same time.” A perfect quote for me today from my friend @gofitjo ... today I woke up, well, overwhelmed to say the least. It was another night of not much sleep and my tank was pretty empty. The kids and i have been unwell on and off and we’ve been stuck inside so much this past month. More than that though, I am still adjusting to three kid life. It’s harder than I thought it would be to juggle all the things- all the needs. Especially at Pearls transition age of 6 months - she needs sleep, she’s less compliant on the go and i want to give her growing little body the respect it deserves. But I am, after all, human and I only come with two hands. Two hands and one heart that sometimes .. just hurts. I’m pretty self aware though and I could feel the anxiety swelling .. the lump in my throat, the frustration and lack of patience .. the house could stay messy, the emails could go unanswered.. I needed salty air. Stat. One thing about three kid life is that I’ve gotten really good at quick packing. Change of clothes, snacks, toys. Today was messy in so many ways but also full of so much beauty. If you look hard enough - you can always see both. If you listen close enough there will always be music. Nothing a little salt in the air couldn’t fix.
